I've got a Berkley digital scale that I picked up on sale for about $20, and so far it's held up to the chit and abuse I put my stuff through well

And in general I really enjoy knowing how heavy the fish I catch are...no more guessing

Definitely go with the rapala we have 3 between our fishing group and they are all within an ounce or two. I also tried the berkley, went through 3 they were from 1 to 6 pounds out.

Default fish scale

I found a Xscale at costco for $15. It is small, digital, bright red, goes up to 110 lbs ( i think, mebbe more). It is actually a luggage scale, but cheap enough to do double duty.
