Here's a polar bear pattern I'm working on for Kootenay Lake, as well as some good old Alberta northern pike come spring.

Looking good. I've got a few dozen tied so far, i've been lazy. These are a few of the patterns i do, a few icefishing jigs mixed in but i don't lay out the flies for pictures as often as i'd like to.

I'm mostly tying streamers this week but mostly some new patterns, will see if i find batteries for the camera one night. I like the drake, and Rob, awesome looking streamer. I bet that would work well for brown trout as well .

Nice lookin' flies jrs. Get that camera out, I like lookin' at different ideas and streamer possibilities are endless.

A little plug for the magazine: our recently new column "Fly-tier's Corner" by Jeff Smith of Redcliff, Alberta has been a very interesting read. Jeff delves into different methods and explains how they came about while giving a breakdown of the steps tying that particular fly with excellent photo support.

Addictive hobby to say the least!

The new fly article is great to see in AO. I love the mix of different articles.
Here's the streamers i've been working on tonight with a few older ones tossed in. Pulled the batteries out of the GPS to take a few shots. The top one is my smaller bull trout streamer on a 2/0 hook while the bottom ones are all #2's and #4's. I like to do a few different body colors/ flashabou additions depending on what's floating around on my desk. Pretty much the range of flies I'm carrying for early season browns come April.

And of course, the whitefish flies. I had too much fun on the McLeod last summer so have some serious tying to do in refilling that box. Nothing special but the scuds were a bit of a surprise producer in the fast moving water. Heavily weighted of course.

I'd love to see some more of everyone's favorite pattern's though.

Nice flies everyone I figured since I was laid off I would get down to business and start tying for next year but now that I got my clam seems I just been fishing more.

Default Warm fingers this winter.

Instead of ice-fishing this season, trying to tie a few flies. Much more comfy, so far. Gearing up for a little Andros fishing soon for Bones, maybe some Cudas, Sharks, Tarpon and whatever else;

Sal****er clousahs;

Mini-puffs;

"Wingless" Mini-puffs;

Various Gotchas;

Bonefish Bunnies;

A little leech collection for a local perch lake I hope to spend more time at this coming season;
