CZ 527 204 left hand
Was in at wss south side the other day. This is one sweet feeling little gopher coyote rig. Any one have a 527 and how do you like them? Does talley make rings for the CZ 527?

I've got two varmints in 223 one wood and one Kevlar stocked, love them. Shoot good, look good, feel good. Talley does make rings, western gun parts carries them.

I keep looking at them, nothing NOT to love. My only concern is scoping them, since the bolt throw is so high.

It really depends on the scope you use, I have a minox 2-10x40 on medium leupold rings and with 1/8 clearance to the bolt handle.
You can get picittini rail adapters also.

i sent my bolt handle to James Calhoon in montana. they will send you a modified shaved down handle to help with mounting a lower scope. It took around three weeks to get it back.

I made a deal on a used one and very happy, picking it up asap. I did a ton of research since. I was close to ordering a X Bolt lefty in 223 but went this way instead.
They are very well received generally. The CZ527 American is the one with the extended magazine, the American M1 has the 3 shot mag and flush bottom metal. It should have a single set trigger, standard pull is heavier, push trigger forward gives much lighter let off. The American models are equipped as 1 in 12 twist in the 223. The Varmint models are 1 in 9 twist but I haven't seen any in left. The Lux model comes with sights and a European styled stock. The action is a true micro Mauser action with CF. I understand the American models ship with the factory rings but that needs confirming. They did in the past.
Edit: sorry gapped the 204 caliber note.
The main issue for some is the high rings required to get bolt handle clearance, google is your friend. Scopes with large eyepieces or adjusting rings tend to be a concern. The one I'm looking at has a VX-2 3-9X40 Leupold with factory rings and fits.
Please note this is research not experience but the rifles simple lines and Walnut and steel construction caught my eye. CZ's solid reputation sold me.

Research into ring height is also important as not every manufacturer uses the same dimensions. For example leupold rings are taller than warne, it's something to keep in mind.

No Lefty I didn't. Guess if you snooze you loose. I was thinking of going in tomorrow and maybe buying it. Told my wife I really need it cause the 22-250 and 243 do to much damage to the coyotes then I won't get as much for them. So she thinks it's a pretty good investment. Gotta love it.

I actually need the 204 like I need a third nut but that 204 sure feels sweet.. I don't have any CZ center fires so it would be my first. If they are anything like the center fires they are probably tack drivers.
