Default New fly Craw pattern

Was in need of a crawfish pattern . I came up with this crawfish pattern it's pretty simple compared to the other patterns out there but it seems to work quite well when try to impersonate a baby craw, somebody somewhere probably already thought of this ..

Thats a nice looking fly but when it gets wet there is a strong chance that it will more likely resemble a wooly bugger when going through the water.

Wooly bugger makes a decent crayfish pattern.

Default Yea

There's a bead between the tails so they stay split. I use a wooly bugger usually but thought of this one day, sort of a mix between a bugger and Denny Richards Stillwater nymph . I thought the tails would become one in the water too but to my surprise they stay nice and split under water, plus I think the larger profile pushes more water than the average bugger creating more disturbance under the water.

Only thing I would do is invert the hook so it would ride point up heck even try a jig hook so that you dont foul on the bottom as easily. With bead head eys so the claws rise up just like crayfish

Good fly you tied there. Dumbell eyes up front and a bit of bucktail in claws will make it push even more water.
