Default Anyone Shoot The Elite Ritual? What Other Bow?

So this year is new bow year.

I've been looking at the following bows; if you've shot them let me know your thoughts:

I like a 32"-35" ATA, 7" Brace Height, a rock hard back wall, and smooth draw cycle.
Some of the bows I've been looking into

-Bowtech Reign 7
-Elite Option 7
-Elite Revol
-Elite Ritual
-Mathews Triax (outside my specs, but everyone is raving so I want to shoot it)
Doubt I'd buy it as I think the short ATA will suck with a 29.5" draw
-Hoyt Carbon RX-1 - Price and 6" brace height scare me

If you've shot any of these side by side I'd love to hear from you. I've have not talked to anyone that's shot the Elite Revol or Elite Ritual so I'm very interested in hearing from those who have shot those bows.

My dad just bought the triax and it's pretty sweet short and fast, I still choose my reign 7 over it, we shot side by side same draw length on each bow same arrow I was 11 fps faster. The elites are nice I liked them as well

I own the Reign 7 and it is a fantastic bow. Fast, easily tunable and a pleasure to shoot! Have a buddy that just bought the Hoyt and he likes it as well. At the end of the day, all flagship bows are going to shoot great. It comes down to personal preference. If you have a chance go chat with the guys at JimBows, they are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to setting you up with what you want.

Might be hard to find Elite. A lot of dedicated archery shops have dropped them since they started selling at Cabelas; fairly hard to compete with the price. Cabelas won't have the Ritual for at 1 year to give the archery shops a chance to make some money off the new flagship. Everyone said Elite worst year was last year with the crazy pricing on the Option 6/7. I think deciding to list with Cabelas will be great for Elite's bottom line but has hurt their reputation even further regardless of how well the Ritual shoots.

Would you buy the Ritual this year from Jimbows or Accurate Archery if you knew next year Cabelas will have it listed for $300 cheaper?

Good Luck with your search.

PS, shoot the Triax for sure. I am 29.5" draw and if I was in the market it would be coming home with me. Haven't owned a Mathews since my Z7, but would definitely go back this year.

Thanks for the input. Jimbows, Calgary Archery, and even Wolverine in Red Deer will not be stocking Elite this year. If I can't test drive their bow I won't be buying it. I've gone through most bow manufactures and made a list of bows I'm going to shoot and make notes on. Might take a bit to get through the list.

• Mathews
o Triax
o Halon 32
• PSE
o Carbon Air Classic 32 ECS
• Obsession
o Fixation 7M
o Fixation 7XP
o Hemorrhage DE
• Xpedition
o Xcursion 7
• Hoyt
o Carbon RX-1
o Pro Defiant
• Bowtech
o Realm
o Reign 7
• Elite
o Option 7
o Revol
o Ritual
• Prime
o Logic
o Centergy

If you are looking for a great No BS person to deal with who is an elite dealer look no further than JR Chapin who owns Bow Monkey Garage.

He is a straight shooter and not a slick talking salesman. He will get you into the setup your looking for from Elite.

Only Downside is he is out near Cremona, but well worth the drive out there.

Thanks, I've reached out to him and once he gets the Ritual in I plan on heading up and shooting it

I’ve been taking a really strong look at the Prime Logic. Check out the torque tests on YouTube. The best one I’ve seen for the 2018 bows is the prime logic. Can’t wait to get out and shoot one.

Shot the Triax when it got into Jim Bows and gotta say it's a sweet shooting bow. Don't listen to what people are saying about the short 28" ata. It's got huge cams so you don't see any weird string angles at all. Very smooth draw, solid back, and totally dead in the hand. Super quiet too. I wouldn't worry about your 29.5" draw. The one I shot was set up to 29" and it shot great. Levi Morgan has a 30.5" draw and shoots it no problem.

You've got a big list to go through. Have fun.

We should have the new ELite Ritual in a couple of weeks, Try shooting it along side the Prime Logic, Hoyt Hyperforce and Darton Maverick II and evaluate them all for your self

Thanks for your advice, I'm very excited to shoot the Prime's; I've never shot one before.
