Default Ice Fishing in the Shack for the first time. Lesser Slave Lake

Howdy fellas!

Just edited our adventure to Slave Lake, stayed in the shack by Joussard.

Fishing was super slow, from 3 PM to midnight did not see any bites! Was quite frustrating. Was almost ready to give up, suddenly around midnight I felt a first nibble! Relief... Bites were going to 3 AM and than it just killed, no mass!
However managed to catch 6 Keepers.
Anyone had a better luck that night? We were there Feb 3-4.
Was a cold night too, temperature dropped significantly.
Just look at that fish! You could drive a nail with it LOL.

Thanks for watching!

P.S. Thinking of building my own shack now!

Very nice video, I enjoyed it.

I just have to ask - with all the ice and snow on the floor in the corners of the shack, and the shack not banked with snow - was it really warm? Did that little stove keep the shack warm? Just kind of surprised to see ice on the floor in the middle of the night.....

Thank you!
As for your question, first of all I would't say that stove was little, it was pretty big actually. It was warm in the shack, even hot some times. It was warmer the higher you go, but floor was frozen yes as temperature dropped to minus 30 overnight.
