Default crossbow

Let me start buy saying I dont own one yet.
What is the thought on useing xbows all through hunting just like regular bows. not a debate just some pros or cons.


I think I might have opend a can of worms here. SORRY but wanna know.

Nothing wrong with using a xbow all season. Whether it is any better or worse than a bow (or gun) really comes down to personal preference. Personally I think the pros of the xbow are that it takes less practice to shoot accurately. For me the negatives are weight, risk (once cocked it usually stays that way for a while), and reloading speed.

Can a crossbow be used in an archery season.?

Generally no, but it is possible to get a special permit (with a doctors note or something like that)

Pro....It can be left on cock
Con....clunky, unwieldy and a pain to lug around the bush.
