The main lake had 4 to 5 ft waves this morning, lots of steam rising off the water, won't be long.

Default Long Bay

Walked out to the Long Bay point through the park with my dogs yesterday.

Standing on the point looking out onto the main lake, the ice extends a few hundred yards. Lots of steam and loose ice floating around out there. Quite pretty.

The bay itself has been frozen over for at least 10 days.

Quite cold last nite. I imagine the ice would have built up considerably.

Will probably check out Marie today.

with the snow and cold weather we have had I would be surprised if people are not out on French already.

Default French Bay

Just came back from French Bay.
Standing at the boat launch and looking to your left to the end of French Bay is ice covered. The rest of the bay is covered in waves.
French Bay this AM is 95% open water.
