I will stick with a diesel for towing duties if the trailer is anywhere near the weight of the truck or over. If I am pulling the 6x6x10 or quad trailer the 4.6 5.4 or 3.5tt can pretend to be a real truck.
I guess I should have qualified that with the trailer size!
Anything bigger than my small utility trailer , my 18' jetboat or the singkevaxle decoy trailer and we fire up the F350 or the Dura Max!
1/2 tons don't cut it when comparing them to 1 tons, diesels and big loads

Is not max towing capacity based on if the bumper touches the ground or you stop going forward on steep hills. Which ever comes first?
