Default Cfl 2023

Well the season has started and Calgary looked bad. Totally disappointed in the lack of fans there last night.
Kinda/sorta chuckle at the EE's using an old rookie kicker but then I thought, how could he make them worse.
Go Riders.

Very excited to have the CFL back, most every "expert" is picking the Riders to finish around 4-14....we'll see.

Watching Fjardo i'm sure glad he is not in a Green uniform anymore. Montreal and Ottawa both have a long way to go.
Riders and Eskimo's today , should be interesting......GO RIDERS !

Elks stuffed 3 times in a row on the 1 yard line by the Riders D late in the 4th quarter. Elks are having a tough time getting that monkey off their back for that home W.

Well they’re 1 game closer to that 4. They just won 17-13.

Elks solidify their home game losing streak record to 18 games, gotta be good at something.

Whether you love or hate the Roughriders, folks have to admit that what was a dominant goal line stand. Wow.

Never saw the game but talked to a buddy that was at the game and he said it looked like a game between 2 basement dwellers

First game of the season lot's of mistakes dropped balls, stupid penalty's like doing a celebratory cartwheel into a referee LOL. The goal line stand was impressive, we'll see what they've really got next week when the Riders play the bombers.

Some lucky Elks fans might have free season tickets if they can't get a home win.

It didn't look any better on TV, but with regards to the Riders they should have nowhere to go but up. Defense was solid, offense was pretty ugly. Harris will improve, and they have as many as 3 upgrades to the offensive line waiting. Colin Kelly will be available in a couple weeks, but Jerald Hawkins (personal matters) and Philip Blake (injury) are question marks. Also 3 other starters waiting to return from injury yet - Derrick Moncrief, Brayden Lenius and Kian Shaffer-Baker.

They've got room to grow, but Craig Dickenson needs to outgrow some of his stupid coaching gaffes like sending the starting QB out on 3rd down in garbage time to run around and kill the clock.

Darn Global Warming so they get to the 36 inch line and the heat
stalled the boys. They need to eat lots of garlic - breathe super heavy duty on the riders the green machine will sputter. Night before the game the boys gatta eat Perogies with lots of butter and onions.

Well week 2 already started. Will be interesting to see how she goes. Figure there’s a bit of dust to brush off the first couple weeks.

Bombers schooled the Riders...again but overall the Riders did not look all that bad. Thought Harris played pretty decent. Got rid of ball quick and some good passes, much improved over the Maas/Fjardo stale offence. Bombers are masters at moving the ball getting critical first downs when pressure is on and it showed. Oh well only game 2 . GO RIDERS

The green was moving the ball, Harris threw over 400 yards for 3 TD's not a bad days work normally except it was against WPG the offense rolled over our defense in the second half.
Collaros gets rid of the ball in 3 seconds to a crew of receivers that can make up for his inaccuracy with circus catch's hard to defend that.

Only game 2 lot's of room to improve

Go RIDERS!

It seemed like the defense just ran out of gas in the second half. Short week for the green. The bombers have been the class of the league for 3 years, that ST TD and the PI in the end zone were back breakers. You could see the life fall out after those. The Offense kept trying though. Harris is best QB the riders have had for a while. Nice to see a QB that can actually move in the pocket and throw accurate passes.

Overall it was a closer game than what I expected. They did decent against what I’d argue is the best team in the league right now.

That was a mess EE couldn't get anything going BC didn't look that good either, only 1 TD the rest were FG's.

Maybe Jones wasn't the answer

Now its karma for the 5 consecutive cups bought during the no cap era. Hard to feel sorry for them...and I don't.
