It'll be hard for me to suppress the giggles if the Make Believes blow another 3-1 series lead. So I won't even try.

The latter two are only getting few minutes of ice time because of that though. And I always thought Perry is (was?) way overrated. Pretty sure I mentioned it here before.

Tampa is about the only team I personally wouldn’t discount even when they are down 3 to one. I think they are better than Toronto. They are old, but at least in two games that I saw, they showed they can skate with speed, they can dominate. Where they are now is mostly on Vassilevski, imo. If he can pick it up, he alone can win games, but with the team he has in front, they can beat the Leafs, imo. It is a big if, but it seems he was there today (judging by the stats; I haven’t seen the game). Who knows. While I wouldn’t put my money on them, I wouldn’t bet against them either.

Jets are the first ones to go. Remember that that’d be Flames going golfing instead if Moose lost his bet a couple of weeks ago, haha.

Yup Jet's first out, Toronto had a chance to make Tampa first out but in typical leaf's fashion they cannot seem to win an elimination game, they are now 0 - 10 in elimination games, it's in their heads now.

I think the Stars move on tonight and send the Wild home, the Avs very well could also be going home tonight, the Kraken are playing good.

Too darned bad the Jets were do depleted to give lost wages a run for their money. The Winnipeg has a number of key players coming to the end of their contracts so they may be in a sad state this fall. I hope not though.
On a more positive note I cannot wait to face them in round 2 once we take out LA.

I never watch the Leafs unless they are playing the Oilers, but watched the 3rd yesterday to see if they could break the jinx. They didn't play like they wanted to move on.

I didn't think Florida would put up that much of a fight. Chucky is a good player. .

Never would have thought the Bruins and Avs would go to a game 7 in the 1st round.

8 series and not 1 sweep. Only 1 series decided in 5 games. This is the most competitive 1st round I have ever seen. Great hockey.

Absolutely the 2 biggest surprises have to be the Avs / Kraken and the Bruins / Panthers both going to game 7 anybody that bet on that is making money. We will see what happens tonight as there could be 3 more series headed to game 7 as the Rangers, Lightning and Kings all have to win to carry on.

"Andrew Cogliano has a fractured neck, as first reported by Elliotte Friedman. The injury came in the second period from a dirty hit from Jordan Eberle to the back of Cogliano, knocking him out for the rest of the period."

I'll be very suprised if Eberle doesn't get a few games for this hit.

*Edit* - Unbelievable!

"The NHL Department of Player Safety (DoPS) decided to not have a hearing for Eberle throwing the hit. It met all the criteria of calling for a hearing, with a player in a dangerous position hit badly into the boards. But apparently, because he finished the game unlike the hit Cale Makar was suspended for on Jared McCann, there was no suspension to be faced.

The hit was let go. The precedent has been set. Unbelievably so. DoPS has failed at its job in this instance for this disastrous hit and injury setback Cogliano now faces"

That's a tough one IMO. The puck was ringed around, and Cogliano follewed it, turning on Eberle, then for some inexplicable reason decided to bend over with his head to the boards. Makar's hit was crazy late.

No doubt! You will never hear the end of it. Whoever they end up playing, I hope they take the Leafs out in 4 straight.

2 game 7's tonight, going to be a great night to watch some hockey, will miss most of the Boston / Florida game as will be on the road on the way home from the grandson's volleyball provincials in Warman, have to watch the hi-lites of that one later, Avs / Kraken should be great

Never seen more junk goals . shot thru traffic bouncing off players or skates.
McDavid made a nice tip on his goal though...he makes things happen.

This is when you definitely put all kicks on net, forget the three passes bs get it in net and muck it up.

Get pretty well your golfing!
