Default Cow Lake Perch

Good day everyone. I was thinking about heading to Cow Lake tomorrow but havent fished it in many years. If someone would be so kind as to point me in the right direction to be on the lake.

I thank you in advance.

i've only been out to cow twice. went right off the boat launch about 75 yards and around 15yards from the cattails in 6-8 feet of water. tundrabuck would be the one to ask.

Hey Mudder Man, good to see you back. I've been out a few times this winter and I've had really good luck on the N.W shore about 1.5 klicks off the day use area. Turn left and follow the main road heading North and just before you start to head East punch a few holes about 30 feet from shore that should put you into the bigger perch. I used a white jig tipped with a minnow and a stinger hook in the tail. (9-11.5" perch)

Yep Mudder Sage has given you some good information, that area, or even closer into shore I have the most success with bigger fish in 2 - 4 feet of water.

Smile Cow Lake ice

How's the ice going onto Cow Lake these days? I was there on the 8th and the ice at the launch seemed a little slushy in the afternoon. Has there been any flood waters yet? I am hoping to come down there on Friday, even if I have to walk out. Probably be my last frozen H2O trip till fall. Any info would be great.
