Default tape for poly tarps

I have used various type tapes for poly tarps to reinforce grommets and hold pole contact points.
Gorrilla tape, Princess auto tarp tape are no good.

I am going to try silage tape now. I can get white 3" wide from UFA but I want black. I have been on line looking and not finding any.
What is the best tape for a poly tarp?

Maybe use sticky backed canvas patches. Put one on each side of the poly.....probably slit the poly in several spots so the patches bond to each other. You could sew/attach your rings right to the canvas.

Thanks. I have some iron on canvas patch material. I will see if it sticks to poly and the iron on process is not to hot.

How about something like this? Check the speed shops in your area.

Maybe use a glue and some strategically placed slits on the poly so the canvas adheres to itself.

I'd be interested to see what you're working on. I always enjoy your threads on on how you do things in the field.

I would have to see how your attempting to fix things.

But Tuck tape is the stickiest stuff you'll find.

Have you tried just ironing the 2 poly tarps together? Not 100% sure, but if you can get the temp. right it could work.

X2. Not sure what material covers my shed frame seems like a poly tarp like material. I joined 2 shed into 1 and tuck taped the gap last fall. Still holding.

Thanks for the advise I have received on this thread that has suggested stuff I did not find in my online search.
When the hot summer sun got to the tape I had been using all winter it detached in places and curled up, Some glue gun bonds let loose maybe because I did not use a hot enough setting on the gun.
When I get all the kinks out of my chimney /stove tarp shelter I will start offering them on the market. I just keep improving the design so it is just as well not to many of my stoves are out there.
I have a neat little grate and ash catcher that finishes the burn, like burns out the charcoal so it is the hot center of the fire that the new sticks are pushed into.
In the past I have been putting too many pieces of wood in the stove to start it. It starts the fastest and gets hotter quicker with only 3 pieces of small diameter wood. If there is hot stuff burning on the grate I can keep the cook top hot with one stick if it is dry wood.
