Default How best to convert an old LP to digital?

Is there a best way or best place to get a high quality digital remastered copy of an LP? Anyone know a company in Edmonton or Calgary that does that sort of thing?

try here: http://jeetvideo.ca/audio.html

I would also check McBains Camera (sponser here) just in case they provide the same service.

Depends where you are going to play and store them as most modern fotmats and player are not the same quality. Here is a good article on the process. I did something similar as I used to DJ back in the day and have a pile of old music.https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-t...o-digital/amp/

if It made it to vinyl, it likely has been digitized by one of the lisence holders. A download from their site should be a tad more affordable

Look on Amazon for a " USB Audio Capture" device with Audacity Music Editor.
Easy to use, I just recently converted a bunch of cassettes to MP3 format and put the music onto USB storage sticks. It's kind of fun to use as well.

One way is to patch a turntable into your soundcard or a usb port and record directly from that with some software like audiograbber. As mentioned, it might be out on cd anyways.

I am thinking a professional can fix any sound issues and clean it up if needed. I don't have a turn table.

I am not sure just a straight across copy is the best versus trying to fix any imperfections off the original.

Just out of curiosity, what is the album you want converted? I have quite a large collection... maybe I have a copy or can find one.
