Just posted this to the other BBQ thread. Guess it applies here as well

Then just borrow the bottle & tie it to the tiger torch for when the firewood is wet
You then can use a cookie sheet on it to cook your bacon in the morning.
I've camped a lot in chitty weather

x2.... a little pricey to get off the ground by the time you buy the grill box and a griddle, but I can't see myself having to replace this set up for many many years.

X3, had my camp chef setup for a good 8 years, used it from camping all over alberta , BC all the way to Duabi. Burned propane, Nat. gas and butane thru that unit with out any problems.

The BBQ box is one of the best cooking surface with even heat I ever used. Can cook for a dozen people in no time.

Cheers,

Another vote for the Weber Q, I think mine is the 200 model, great for the camper. They make a larger one but it looked a little too bulky to drag around.

Default Consider charcoal for camping

I have used a Porta-chef for the past 9 years. Great for grilling, but is direct heat only. I wanted to barbeque and do some "low and slow" while camping -so I bought a Weber charcoal kettle last year. Great for direct and indirect heat. The 22.5 in model does come apart easily enough to pack for camping.

When the porta-chef finally wears out - I plan on sticking with charcoal only.

Put the cuisinart grill together yesterday, easy to do. Nice size grilling surface, has extending side shelves for putting thing on - plates, tools, sauces etc. Folds up nice and compact - easy for me to lift up to the bear cave on the trailer (about 50 pounds).

Has a thermometer and heats up really quickly to 350. Cooked some potato wrapped in tin foil in the same time as the big BBQ and the cooking surface was big enough for two steaks, veggies and potatoes.

I'm happy with it.
