Default Crawling Valley

God I love this lake. 37 to the boat. My 4 year old caught the big one of the day on his small "cars" fishing rod. 4lbs.

Yellow jigs were the key today. 17ft of water.

I did. He loved it. Kept telling him we need a bigger boat so he'll help me hound his mom.

I was thinking about going tomorrow with my dad. We have a boat, but he had a pretty massive stroke this last year and it would be awesome to have a day full of fish! Thanks!

Beautiful reservoir. I saw a kid land a 7or 8 pounder a few years ago. Living in edmonton it's hard to get back there with pigeon so close.

Just back in Calgary for a few days of work, when we left 15 - 17 FOW on structure was the ticket during the day. Bottom bounced, they seemed to hate the big Floro. Orange blade enuff to try n eat it on the way up and down structure. 68 degree surface temp. Windy tho. As usual it calmed out about 7ish at nite and was calm til about 9ish in morn. about 50 /50 pike n wally, nothing really big in a few days of fishn. everyone seemed as big around as I am.

BUT when the sun started down until sunset they seemed to like 2' or 3' FOW, also same in the early morn. Slip bobber was the ticket. We were camped by the water and the "bite" continued til very late, you could hear splashing and surface action.

Saw lots of kids, and all kinds of enjoying them selves. Did not see any fish killing.

Really love this place, hope they keep it no kill for Wally a long time. I wonder what the Pike would be like if that was catch n release as well?

Boat ramp was good entertainment as well, saw a wake boat launched, OOPS no rope on it!!!
