Default got my 150 elk

Hey people just a update on my elk hunt in 150, I got there on tues and my elk was still there that i had scoped out a month ago, cept there was 3 this time instead of 2, I was up at 530 and drove out to the spot and waited till day light . I drove out into the feild and lo and behold their they were all three together , 2 were the ones I posted pics of erlier on here and a new 7x7 had shown up, me and my bud discused for 20 minutes which was the best wall hanger and then we drove to within 80 yrds i stepped out of truck walked over to a fence post and dropped the 6x6 which was the nicest set of horns, not the most points of the three but by far the best scorer, so I walked over to the dead elk and had to shoo the other 2 away they just walked away and would stop and look at me then walk away some more, this by far was the fastest and weirdest elk hunt I ever did. it was over at 7am. So rough scored my set to be about 350 or so, me being a techno slug I bought a new camera and now my puter says it dosnt recognize the usb port so the pictures will have to wait. damn!!! anyways if you look at my last pics it will be the elk on the left that i got, happy hunting people

Great job MC! What priority were you to get drawn? 9-10? Hopefully I get drawn next year!

Congrats Moosecaller! I too look forward to the pics. Am I wrong in sensing from your post that the actual hunt was somewhat anti-climatic? I don't mean any disrespect god knows I love eating elk and there's nothing more impressive as far as head gear goes....just wondering how the actual hunting experience rated for you.

Hya Cowboy
The hunt was great it was a well exucuted plan, the pre scouting was a great time, I have hunted elk before, and it wwas way different than this hunt, Im used to hunting moose, where I can call them in and play with them, this hunt I did yesterday, just seemed way too easy, but was still a great hunt, Iam extremely pleased with the results!

Atta boy! Great elk. I am hoping for the same this year. They weren't on a leash by any chance.....80 yards in the truck. Sheeze!

Congrats man. Way to go. Definitely doesn't sound like the average elk hunt. Glad it worked out for you.

Holy crap!! Nice bull. How many points were you sitting at to get drawn? I'm a 9 after this year and curious how this new zone will pan out. Quite well for you by the looks of things!!

hya all thanks for the replys, I was a priority 10, I chatted a lady after i shot mine and she said she had a p8 and was drawn, she probably shot one of the others cause she was 10 mins behind me and i told her where to go after the others, My scoring is as I said just a ruff score, Im as good at scoring as I am at posting pics, I will take him to the horn show in the med hat and get him scored there, unless someone from med hat wants to come and score him over a beer! I boiled out the skull today so I will get some better shots tommorrow and post them, he looks pretty good from a side shot. later all

Very Nice Bull!!! A friend of mine is hunting down there right now as well, his goal was 350''. Not sure if he's sticking with it but i'll be telling him to check out your bulls pic on here. Congrats and looking forward to hearing the official numbers later this year. Looks like you shot him down in Utah with the backdrop and the massive tines!! Awesome bull, thanks for sharing the picture.
