Default Ram Trolling Motor Stabilizer Mount

Good day all. I am looking for 1 of these in Edmonton:

http://www.basspro.com/RAM-Trolling-...1202090501092/

I have looked at Cabelas online and in their catalogue as well as Wholesale Sports online but no mention of one to be found. I can obviously order from bass Pro but prefer to pick up in Edmonton ASAP if at all possible.

Thanks.

Thefishinhole has them online and is likely the only place that might carry them in stock, item 3859993.

Unfortunately I have found them to do a pretty poor job of keeping special items like this in stock. For example the piece I want they had a total of 3 in all their stores combined...

I bought mine at the Fish'n Hole in Calgary. I have noticed them there several times since.

John,

I got my ram mounts from GPS City in Calgary, they deliver to Edmonton and you get your stuff within 3-4 days.

Selection and prices are great.

You can order individual components, or multi-piece component sets like the one you are looking at.

I ordered mine as components. I ordered two of the ball and clamps rings and one arm to accommodate my set up.

That way - I have one ball and arm on the front rail of my bow, and the other on the motor shaft as designed. That way I'm not drilling holes in my deck, and I can use my travel cover and still secure the mount ....... nor do I need a extra long 12" arm. ........ something to consider.

Also, if you are going to mount it on your deck, measure the distance between where the base will be drilled down, and where the shaft "naturally" (without a bend) rides. You may find, if your deck is deep, the arm will be too short - they have several lengths of arms.

Better to be be slightly longer (and angle the arm a little) than to be too short and put a bend into your motor shaft.

These things are designed for shallower deck bass boats, where the distance is only 6" or so from the deck to the shaft, not boats like ours with recessed decks.

Also - there are different sizes bases and mounts - the ram mount web-site has a product configuration tool so it won't allow you to mix ball and socket sizes that won't work properly.

Thanks for the replies.

I checked the Fishin Hole online, not sure how I missed it there. Oops.

EZM brings up a point I never even considered, tarp! Hmmm, have to look at the options a bit closer and see if I can make it work now.

I get all my Ram mounts from GPS City in Calgary as well. Shipping is good. Was just there yesterday. Really good price on horizontal swing arms, but been backordered for 6 weeks.
