Default newell ice?

any recent reports on thickness and no need to lecture me on making my own decisions on safety i am just curious if i will be able to take my quad on the ice over new years.

Was there all day in Jackfish bay only was out about 150 yards from shore and it was about 8" or so.

it was 14 a couple weeks ago, must have melted a lot, but it varies quite a bit too, thats why checking is mandatory!

Probably like you said Wayne we only drilled 3 holes in our tent and was around the 8" mark. We didn't drive on

i new that was going to come up. we have a cabin there and only ever go out once or twice in the winter. have a good new years

i was close to shore and measured 14", 6" white ice and 8" clear before the weekend. a guy stopped by and told me about open water to the south.

Was at Rainer draw today, 14" in mouth of small draw. I did take my longhorn on with no issues. In reddelback bay they are driving out to mouth, about 10 trucks Saturday. One truck drove off kin brook sailing club to island on northwest about 500 yards. Christmas Day there where five trucks on ice in north marina bay. Play safe and check the ice if no has broken the trail.
