Default Where's a good place to take a toddler ice fishing?

I'm not looking for the secret honey holes, or the giant fish.

Im looking for a spot where I can take my 3 year old daughter ice fishing for the first time and have her enjoy it.

We will probably go for perch, trout or whitefish.

I've thought about taking her to pigeon or gull lake for the whitefish.

Are there any recommendations on places where you folks take your kids ice fishing?

I've got a tent, heater, auger, rods and hardware.

Feel free to post up or pm me.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure how far you want to drive but Carson Lake (whitecourt) is around 2 hour drive from the city and you have a real good chance of catching rainbows there.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

Wetchimo,

I'll do that. I'm thinking sometime in the next two weeks I'll be taking her out.
It sounds like you've got it figured out.

Thank you.

Try Hermitage Park Pond on the east side of the city. There are a few threads about that location and guys seem to be catching.
