Taking kids fishing/Camping June 06-09 in Calgary area. Advice needed.

Good morning everyone,

I am heading to Calgary on the weekend of June 6-8 to take a friend of mine and his 5 year old son camping and fishing.

I will have my 4.5 year old daughter with me.

I will be towing my boat down with us.

As I am unfamiliar with the Calgary area campgrounds and fishing spots…Can anyone point me in the right direction for a good campground and a decent spot (lake) to take a Two kids fishing. I am not looking for anyone’s honey hole, just looking for advice on a few good lakes that we can take the kids out for the day or two and have a great time! C&R is perfect however I would not be opposed to catching one and teaching the kids how to fillet the fish.

I am researching it now. We are also looking at heading into the Banff area too.

So it is settled!

Friday June 06 hitting up drumheller with the boat in tow, Dinosaur hunting, hoodoo climbing, camping over night then heading to Pine Coulee early Saturday morning for some fishing and camping.

My 4.5 year old daughter, her 5 year old friend and his dad will be pretty stoked to get out there. Her friend and dad have never fished before so it will be a fun time had by all!
