Default Saskatchewan Bass

where are they in Sask? Ive caught them in BC and always had a blast, now Im closer to Sask and would love to catch more. Largemouth or Smallmouth?

Boundary Reservoir south of Estevan. It's a great largemouth lake.

Thanks Sheephunter, Last time I was down there it was minus 45 and blowing, maybe thats why I didnt see them Lived in Moose Jaw for 5 years and never heard of them. But they were still building Diefenbaker too so maybe there bass werent there yet. Another weekend trip to plan for next summer!

even better , I see they have houseboats on that lake!!! first time Ive ever seen boat wakes on google earth, they must have been moving at the speed of sound!!!!!! (not the houseboats) LOL

there are a couple lakes stocked with small mouth in the past 4 or so years to, one is up near creighton/flin flon, cant remember the name though

Estevan is the place I was referring to.....a friend visits his in-laws there and has had good success with the basss.

bass within 500 miles (minus the states) I would like to know as much as i can. Does deif have a good population for the size of the lake? Where in BC ? You guys have me freak'n out

No bass in Deif. Countless lakes in BC with both small and largemouth. A google search will help. Boundary is Saskatchewan's only bass lake of any note.

Thanks Sheep, some great info. If anyone wants to fish bass, and stay in a great little campground, Mirror Lake just outside Kaslo is an old quarry, litteraly stuffed with bass. Ive camped there 5 or 6 times, great campground, nice little beach, great people and no license required since its private. I always thought they were stunted, but last time I was there a kid pulled out a 6 pounder, and Ive heard of more. Kootenay Lake is right across the road with a marina if you want to catch more than bass.

We have a cabin on Rocky Lake which is 40 minutes south of FlinFlon and it is loaded with Sm mouth bass, fantastic fighting fish. FS
