Got out for a cruise with the pup last weekend, and she found her first shed on her own! Decent whitey with a 3 point frame, but a split G2 and a sticker off the brow. I was pretty excited, and pleased with her on her first unassisted find/retrieve. Cant wait for the never-ending winter to quit, so that we can cover more ground.

All the areas I've gone to lately, including today, have been picked pretty clean by folks out on quads so I wasn't expecting to find too much. I figured that they had checked out all the hills and open areas, so I would check in the bush. The first one i found was the right side of the whitetail set and the match was about 10 yards away a little deeper in the bush.

I put a tape to the whitetail set, and given a 19" spread (he looks a little wider than avg), I came up with 165 5/8.

Default Best Shed to date for me!

Well I went for a walk before I went Gopher shooting today....the coyotes for once did me a favour, I think they drug this little gem out to the trail for me...
I can't wait for bow season now!

The arrow in the pic is a 28.5 inch one

WOW....I just put a rough tape to the shed and got ~89.25! It has a 25.25 main beam....now I am really excited!

How the snow up there gonefishin? Was out a couple weeks ago and the spot we wanted to walk the snow was still deep in some spots, we were breaking through up to our knees. Other spots were bare. Did mange to find a few mulie sheds.

The snow is gone for the most part. There's a few spots in the shady areas that still have snow, but nothing over my ankles in the places I have been.

I am going for a walk tomorrow and pray that I find the other side. The brow tine on this shed is just over 9 inches, G2 is over 12, G3 over 10, 25+ inch main beam, I am trying to guess what the spread on this would be? After a couple of buddies looked at it we figure it has to be a minimum of 20-22 inches wide, but that is just only a best guess.....a real nice deer!

Lol... I know what it's like to get back to the truck and realize you've dropped 1 or 2!
