Default Commemorative rifle value

A friend of mine was recently widowed and her husband left behind a pair of commemorative rifles and she asked me what she should sell them for but I have no idea what they would be worth.
One is an Alberta Diamond Jubilee 38-55 Winchester model 94 and the other is a Saskatchewan Diamond Jubilee 38-55 Winchester model 94.Both are unfired and likely never even handled in original boxes & packing, perfect condition. Anyone have an idea what their value would be or where to find out for her?

Very nice set. Matching serial numbers unfired in original boxes....keep them togther to preserve the collectability. Original price was 650 a piece thereabouts in the early 80's. If i were to guess, 1800 to 2000 for both but im no expert...

You might be surprised at how little they are worth because of the quantity of them out there. The matching set might be a good thing but everyone that I have seen are in the same condition. People never used them. Which means that collectors don't have to look very hard for a good one. Blue book should say how many of those were made.

The gun shows are full of these Winchester commemorative rifles. The book says $895 but my guess is around $600 to move them. I've seen dealers sell them for $250 at the shows.

There was a large selection at the Regina show in January they where priced in the $450-$700 range. It is a shame Winchester got greedy and made so dam many.

They seem to be selling in the $600 to $700 each range, if you can find an interested buyer. They are way too common for the prices to appreciate much.

There were 2700 of each of these made. Pricing ranges from about $400-800 per rifle.

I was going to say $700.00 to $750.00 each. Winchester basically commerated everything from Boyscouts to someone of intersest having a significant bowel movement. Too many cheap rifles with a matching cardboard box to make them intersting. Even a commerative RCMP issued to the officer with his regimental number only fetches $1000.00 state side much to my dismay.

I'll offer $600.00 cash money for the pair and pick them up. PM me if interested.

Default Alberta Diamond Jubilee

I am looking for an Alberta Diamond Jubilee for my daughter. My son got one when he was born and she needs one as well. These kids are the first born outside of Ontario in a mostly liberal family so I believe it is fitting for them both to have one.

PM me if you are interested. I seriously need one.

On price, I had a few other commeratives and sold them and the pricing is low. Anywhere between $450-800 on average.

Greg

Default Diamond Jubilee

I have an Alberta DJ Deluxe. 3000 Jubilee Winchesters were built in 1980 for both provinces. The first 300 serial # ADJ1(SDJ1) to ADJ300 (SDJ300) were Deluxe and came in a hardwood case with green felt, provincial emblem in case with wood plaque that matched the province borders with the serial # and a pewter medallion. The 300 Winchesters had deluxe stocks, different sights and a diamond in the front sight. Those were about $1750.00. The remaining 2700 Winchesters of each sets were numbered ADJ301 to ADJ3000 and had a wood stock with medallion in the stock and did not come with the Deluxe additions. They were about $600/$700. The 36th Edition Blue Book of Gun Values US$ 2015 prices: Deluxe $1795, Regular $995.00, For your info.
