Default Spring is near.

I say this in sort of jest, but there was a robin in my back yard this morning eating dried choke cherries. First one of the year.

He must have stayed all winter IMO.or as you say very very early. I hope the warm weather comes as quick.

It might have been pushed out of Calgary as there is almost twice as much snow there than here. I'm sure some do over winter. I usually see the first robins in the first week of March.

Quite a few birds including the Robin overwinter in Calgary near the Bow or Fish Creek. Even saw a Belted Kingfisher in January!

Did however see a nice Red-Tailed Hawk couple days ago out in the country!

Spring can’t come soon enough though, was trudging through waist deep snow the other day at work..

Got a foot of new snow Sunday and now it`s -26 here. Pretty though, gotta say. Crystal blue sky, bright white mountains.
