Default Nanofil fishing line.

Picked up some 12 pound nano line up a few weeks ago.
Threw it on my spin caster and sure enough I can cast out 25% farther.
BUT...... Stuff breaks realy easy. Lost 3 hooks just casting out .
Had a tankle in the line and when I gave the line a light pull to tighten it up so It would just be a fine knot ,it just broke !
Going to give it anouther chance then off it will come.
Anyone else buy any.....How did it work for you?

knot is slipping line is very slick

The NanoFil Knot is the ULTIMATE knot for the new ULTIMATE SPINNING REEL LINE. With up to 15% more knot strength than a standard Palomar knot, this is THE KNOT you need to use with the new Berkley NanoFil.
NanoFil is uniquely smooth, do not use a clinch knot; instead use a Palomar knot or try the NanoFil Knot (featured here) for up to a 15% increase in knot strength.

Was not breaking at the knot for me but a few feet up the line.
seems like the line does not like sudden stops or jerks
Line is also very bright white under the water.Needs along leader.
Tied a 6 ft leader on today and noticed the line all twisted and I was using a swivel before the spoon .
You would think Berkly would field tested it more before butting it on the shelf.
Did google it ,and found a few others loosing hooks.
Stuff should be taken off the shelf, its going to give them a bad rap .

Default Awesome Line

I bought the 12# Nanofil line also and have no issues whatsoever.

Even used it on a p-rig with a 1oz weight and it cast like butter. No line breakage, but noticed the line twist; nothing to affect the performance.

I have been using it the last season and a half and have had no issues with the line itself but have ran into some self inflicted knot problems. Did notice today though that it is starting to frey a little bit but there have been thousands of casts on that section of line.

I got the 4 pound on my ultralight, 6 pound on my medium-light, and 17 on my pike/trolling set up and as far i am concerned this is the best line i have ever used, i used to run either fireline crystal or powerpro with flouro leaders but this nano stuff is amazing. As far as it breaking, check your knots and tie proper ones this stuff is slippery but my casts have become probably 30-40% longer, also i like the sensitivity of the stuff and from my success rate this year you dont need a leader with it. worth the price for sure

Walleye-100+
Whitefish-100+
Pike-3
Goldeye-2
Browns-2
Rainbows-6
