Default good vacation spot for a fishing trip?

I'm looking to book a last minute all-inclusive trip in the next few weeks and I'm really undecided about where.

Never done it yet, and can't spurge too much. I'd like to do a fishing trip for a day. I'm ok forgoing a shot at marlin for a lot of bottom fishing action. Or a combo.

Mazatlan seems like a possibility.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks

I'm headed to Mazatlan in under two weeks. Also hoping to find some fishing fun. Hoping for quantity over quality. Went marlin "fishing" in St Lucia and it wasn't that great. I just want to stay busy even if I'm just pulling up little guys.

I'll be monitoring this thread for ideas and will provide anything I may find when I go out.

I did pv Mexico last year in February and the rooster fishing was very good, caught 4 weighing between 30-40 pounds very reasonably priced at $450 for 6 hours of fishing also caught 14 banettas and a bull shark.cpt Caesar through the main marina that's closet to airport that hold the huge cruise ships.hope that helps.

I had a really good fishing trip in cabo, but it was in April so that might make a difference. We caught 2 marlins and lost a couple more.

Smile Florida Keys

We rented an efficiency in Islamorada, fish off the dock from the hammock, yarded them in, on to the BBQ and loved it.

There are more fish than I've ever seen. All kinds of them too.

Cant go wrong with Cabo! Its theshortest flight and best Marlin Fishing. Should still be alot of Stripers around. Bob Marlin 650 for 8 hours.
