Default Stolen bow

My garage was broken into last week and they got my 9 month old new hunting bow. It was a Bowtech Solution SS. Green riser with black limbs. I custom ordered the colour combination so I can’t imagine there are any others exactly like it around. It was in a black Plano hard case. If anyone see’s it or hears of one for sale please send me a DM or call the police. They got my binoculars and some fishing equipment as well but the most expensive item to replace is definitely the bow. They only took what they could carry so the actual amount of stuff stolen wasn’t enough to bother with insurance. Any help finding these dirt bags is greatly appreciated

You should report the theft to the cops in the remote chance that they recover it.
If you provide a serial number, pics etc... that might get you bow back, if they stumbled onto it.

Just don't be deluded into thinking that the cops actually care about helping you, they don't don't.

^ Speaking from past experience, in which item of mine were stolen and the frustration of attempting to get the cops to help me, even though they knew exactly who the thief was (due to posting my item) on Kijiji.

But at least there's a million to one chance, if you can provide them info.

Nothing on FB marketplace either

Small market for used bows, physically checking pawn shops is probably the best bet.

Also set alerts on Kijiji. You can use keywords, such as “bowtech” or “compound bow”. Good luck.

Always a great idea. Lots of false hope when the alert pops up, but may be your only chance to act fast if it comes. Have known people where this resulted in them being able to atleast locate their item, even if the cops still didn't care enough to help them

Also do searches on alternate spellings - such as "bow tech" or "bow-tek" etc. just in case the lowlife who stole it has issues with sepeling.

Well it's been a few months and nothing yet. I had filed a police report with all my bow information (serial number, model, colour ect...) The police actually followed up with me a month or two after and said unfortunately most of the stuff like this that gets stolen here gets shipped back east and sold there and vice versa. Very hard for the police to track. They basically said if it is not recovered within a few weeks the odds of recovery are minimal. Oh well, new bow has been bought and is sighted in and ready to go. Maybe mother nature will be extra kind this year and I will have success with my new bow. Good luck to everyone and be safe and straight shooting.

Well, that's a bummer... Will still keep an eye out for that.

May your hunts this year be successful!
