My buddy and I set 3 bait sites last week. And then we put 2 more out today. 2 are established baits so easy just re fill. The other 3 are new just bait and Cameras we will see what produces the best then put stands up. Shooting lanes are all cut just have to lean a ladder stand against the spruce.

Was out quading NE of Fort Assiniboine on Saturday. Seen a pretty nice sized single bear feeding on the power line. Next to nothing for snow left out there so I assume more are out and about now. Only one we seen, no tracks or poop in a 150 km loop, so he might have been an early riser.

This guy has an odd snout.
And unsure of his age.
Appears to be med in size.

Very steady spring rain north of Athabasca on Sunday. Grass was struggling to come out on north facing ditches. Still some snow in the bush on Sunday Morning.

Sap is starting to run in the birch. VERY heavy wood for firewood when it is wet.

This weekend if it ever warms up should get things going.

Yes I’m up that way too, grass seems slow to come along this year. Had one little fella at the bait and that’s it so far. First year at this site and first bait so not expecting a ton, hopefully within the next week or so things pick up!

Blasphemy!

What does he say, he can't rightly remember, but he thinks he's cleaned it three or four times in the past seven years, whether it needed it or not...
