I really liked Bouchard’s play... never panicked, even after a couple of giveaways

Same here.

You can definitely see the upside and how well he thinks the game. I'm torn as to what to do with him. I'd like to see him playing full time. There's going to be some growing pains, but I think I'd take him over Russell, Koekoek or even Larsson at this point.

I think I'd sit him next game against Calgary, then put him in for the next 2 against OTT with the standard 6D and put him out for a regular shift. If he continues to show well, then he forces you to make a tough call and take a regular out of the lineup. The only risk is that 3 games against OTT isn't exactly a true test of his ability to play in the NHL. So maybe if Bear is still out, he plays against Calgary too.

I'm liking Lagesson's game. Solid, stay at home Dman that makes smart plays with the puck. He's the guy that's going to take Larsson's job.

Really happy to see Pool Party finally get a couple, and the reaction of the bench told me a lot about where he stands with with his teammates this time around. Hopefully it builds some confidence and he keeps rolling.

Pretty solid game again, but they were playing OTT. I didn't see what happened on the last goal that Stuetzle was so wide open, but for crying out loud, they need to put an end to those breakdowns. It doesn't matter it's 4-1 against OTT, they have to be better.

I feel for OTT. It's going to be a very painful season for them. The mental slog of getting up and going to the rink every day and trying to stay positive and competitive will be a monumental challenge. The only silver lining is it's a short season.

I think Ottawa could be ok if they got some goaltending. Matt Murray looks awful.

I say if there is room on the roster for him to play against Calgary you put him in. Don't rush Bear, he as been suspect so far. Bouchard needs to get into the BOA game to see what he has.

Although the flames are only marginally better then Ottawa.

Bouchard had a good game but it was A game as in only one. They need to stay the course and develop him proper. No need to rush. No need to play him up the line up or excessive minutes.

They Oilers are finally doing right by there young up and coming talent and I sure hope it stays that way. It will pay off in the long run. All to often we have rushed a player to save the day only to break him, trade him, and then watch him succeed elsewhere.

I see no need to play Bouchard against Calgary on the weekend. Let him watch from the press box. He will have a different view of the game after finally having played one. Lots of value for him watching. Then put him back in against Ottawa and let him apply what he seen from the press box.

End of the day it’s Coach and Managers call and for the first time in a long time I am confident they will do what’s best for the player and that in turn will help the Oilers in the long run.

Dayuum, Reid Wilkins said Bobo's shots taken were 9 and Nurse's 7. Bobo's were the most by the Oiler's last night and 4 hit the net, 3 blocked and 2 missed the net

Less than 12 hrs to puck drop !!! I am pumped for this game. Beat up on the Flames and then off to Ottawa for two more wins makes it a 6 game heater !!!

Really hoping the BOA lives up to its expectations again this year.

Wish nurse would have hammered Geo for Connor in that game. Only down side for me.

Bear on IR. Will miss at least the next 4 games. I feel bad for him, but I’m glad they’re being cautious. Concussions are no joke.

Probably see Bouchard tonight.

Sounds like Haas is out with illness, so Khaira is in.

Other way around I think. Obviously you've not watched an Oilers game this year.

9 points in 12 games. +6. Can you remind us all which Flames D man is close? Those stats would put him ahead of all but 2 Flames forwards.

Neither have the Oilers.

But also seems like flames get the Jets only when they are missing one or 2 of their top players. Guess they would rather be lucky than good.

Don’t much matter, who’s ever winning, that group will end up on the others thread anyway...

Sorry you're right, I'm wrong I thought that series was a 3 game. Lose track here. Enjoy the game tonight.

2 points and a +1 in 2 games vs the Sens. So 7 points and +5 in the other 10.

Which Flames Dman is close to that? Kinda makes what you said about Nurse 100% FALSE, but keep swingin big boy.

Ok it was False, I haven't been following the Oil that close this year, they always land on Flames games. Don't be upset my man, just a comment. If the Oilers Defense is superior then so be it.

First time I've tried to watch a game with the TV muted. I wish radio and TV were synced better. Can't stand these clown cbc announcers.

Pretty sure the Flames fans have to put up with her every game. Now you know why they are always so grumpy and bitter.
