Default Sling Swivels

A couple of my new rifles need sling swivels. I bought some of the Uncle Mike's ones but they are rather crappy(I hate the plastic knob) and noisy. I've heard that NECG produces nice ones but they are pretty expensive at $52/pair. What do you guys use? Is there no middle of the road offerings?

A bit of gun grease can take care of swivel squeaks.

Found some detachable all steel swivels on Brownell's so I'm going to order two different companies products and try them out. They are pretty reasonably priced.

What name are they Cheeseburger? I've used uncle mikes for years and they are noisy and cheap but nothing else seems reasonably priced.

I put the quick detach ones on my 45-70 and they allow the sling to twist around too much, though I do like that they don't have protruding studs if I pull the sling off.

In hindsight, I wouldn't used them though.

just my 2 cents.

Outdoor Connection and Grovtec. I will post them up once I get them.

Cody c - If I don't like these I will probably go to fixed sling swivels.
