Default Sylvan vs Gull - Ice Thickness - Who Won ?

Went out with Bwackwabbit to Brownlows on Saturday and out on RR23 today (Sunday March 09th), the difference in ice/snow thickness between Gull & Sylvan is marginal, however, Sylvan won and more isn’t necessarily better, so either beg, borrow or buy an extension, otherwise you may be disappointed!

Gull = 30 ½" bottom hole to water & 35" to top ice!

Sylvan RR23 = 32" bottom hole to water & 36" to top ice!

Yes it is. Time to bolt on the auger extension.

Was out today (March 12) off Norglenwold, out towards the open lake 24" from bottom of hole to the water with 1.5" floodwater .... no extension required here, just bring your rubber boots!

See my Sylvan Lake Update thread for details.
