Anyone have updated ice info after this cold spell for Badger or Crawling Valley? Would like to drive on tomorrow.

Last time on Jan 1 at CV it was about 13" but that was up in the north part of the lake, I like to see at least 20" for driving with my truck.

I hope to go to CVR this coming Monday... I am crossing my fingers that from the frigid temperatures we just had, that the conditions will be a lot safer?

Currently sitting on pigeon
Ice is about 14 I drove on
Snow drifts definitely require 4by
Some are a foot and a half

Drilled a hole yesterday at Sundance and under the snow was still only 8 inch. I would be very cautious on any lake and doubt it will get to 20 in for sone time

I drove on two weeks ago at the PP as well as the NE side with no issues was about 14 inches at that time. This was right as the temp was dropping to the -20"s. Haven't been out since the cold snap.

Approximately 2' (thicker than the 16' handle on my hole cleaner, and auger depth tougher to measure accurately) at McGregor as of yesterday.

Default Newell Ice

Solid 18" out in front of the cottages at Kinbrook. Only 3 groups out Sunday, other two were in the bay near the boat launch. Had one 20" (ish) walleye in about 13fow between 1-5pm.

Seeing some different ice reports on Pigeon. I was out mid lake and it went from 11 inches before the cold snap to 17-18 inches I found now. Kind of what I expected.

Not many groups out. I was the only one within eye sight until noon. Got skunked. Had my chances though...just couldn't capitalize...but that will keep me coming back

Default Crawling Valley

Made it out yesterday, Jan 20.....ice was 12" - 14" ....about 4" of snow insulation.

Good day and the fish we caught were very healthy.

Default Driftpile- Slave access.

Heading out to Slave today. Going out regardless but curious what the lake conditions are. There was an ice heave 1/2 way out that drifted allot of snow and was making it tricky to cross for some. Thanks in advance.

16” of ice at Little Bow Provincial Park on Travers.

19” at the resort on the north arm of the reservoir.

I drove on at both locations.

Slave lake update at Driftpile. Unable to cross the ice heave as it was at least 4 feet high. Had to go west to th e pump house and enter the lake there. A little longer drive but made it out with no issues. Dogfish

Default Isle Lake

18 inches of ice. 7 inches of flood water below 4 inches of ice in some places. Strongly advise going off trail anywhere. Pike fishing was excellent. Few nice perch on the camera too. Looking forward to those opening up again some day.

Default Wabamun Lake

We fished the big bay to the south of Seba Beach on the very southwest corner of the lake and the snow was up to our shins, also the ice wasnt very good there was only about a foot of black ice with 4-5 inches of slush ice on top with floodwater also, be careful if you plan to fish that area

Default Cross Lake P.P.

15" good black ice 200 meters out from launch. 1 foot of snow minimum, middle has more. Drove to other side of lake following some old tracks...13"-15" good ice with 2-3" frozen slush.... 1" of overflow wherever people have drilled holes. Fishing was slow. Need good clearance and 4x4 if you want to venture around.
