Default 33cc Eskimo Stingray Auger

Hello,

It’s currently on sale at cabelas for $350
Is 33cc to small?
Is the extra few hundred dollars worth the price to increase the power.
Any opinion is appreciated.

Thanks

I inherited a 30 year old Jiffy 30 about 15 years ago. It drills 8" holes just fine IMHO. I am sure a newer 33cc would be even better. For the fishing I do I sure can't see spending a ton more money for an incremental improvement in speed or power.

Have one I bought from Costco about 15 years ago. No problems, starts good and digs well. Keep the blades sharp, and change the plug after a few years. Good unit.

I have one about 10 years now. Very good unit and always starts on first pull.
I use it a lot and never missed a beat. You have to find right spot for choke during worm up if you want to use it right away. I use extension on deep ice and it has plenty power.

All I use and have never felt under powered. Keep the blades sharp, do a yearly tune up (new plug) and away you go.

I've had mine for 10 years, it has enough power. My brother has the 51cc and we have drilled at the same time and I'm maybe a few seconds slower. You'll be happy with it, that's a good deal.
