Shame it wasn't sooner, but after months of excruciating torture. What a poor decision by California to not carry out his death penalty after an impartial court of law sentenced him to it. They could have at least cleared the docket of those so convicted when they abolished that form of punishment.

good riddance to one of the world's most vile creatures. I hope his end was long and painful.

the old b@$tard lasted a lot longer than I thought. With that stupid swastika hacked into his forehead I thought some non-white ganger would have taken him out eons ago.

I just read on a news site that he's been in protective custody since 1989.

We are doing the same for EX Colonel Russ Williams, protective custody with his personal rotating guard staff for as long as he lives.

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Manson :

On September 25, 1984, Manson was imprisoned in the California Medical Facility at Vacaville when a fellow inmate poured paint thinner on him and set him on fire. Manson suffered second- and third-degree burns on over 20 percent of his body. The other prisoner, Jan Holmstrom, explained that Manson had objected to his Hare Krishna chants and verbally threatened him.
