Default Stainless Vanguard recall

Just ran across this, don't know if it's been covered. Regards.

1) the vanguard doesn't have a barrel nut so the veracity of their claims are suspect.

2) the serial number range affects a very small number of guns.

I checked all of my vanguards and they're all good to go!

i have a vanguard that is within the recall serial number ranges and they are saying I have to send the rifle in to be checked. Is there anywhere I can take it in Edmonton to get the bolt checked? Purchased at Cabela's... would they be able to check it? Or any other gun shops in Edmonton i'm sort of assuming would be able to check this? Really don't want to send my gun out right before rifle season.

And I doubt the recall is wrong seeing as how it is on the actual Weatherby website

Do you have a barrel nut. I didn't know vanguards had them? I thought that was a savage thing
