Default You want how much?

Got a price from trophy book to change the strings on my monster, I think that $300 is just a little excessive. was wondering if that would be the going rate or if I might have better luck at a different location? At that price I may as well upgrade to a newer bow as it is 3 years old now.

Default String

I had my string replaced at the Calgary Archery Center last month. Strings and cables, meta peep, d-loop, speed studs installed for $140.

Does the string you want have gold strands? Sounds pretty spendy!!

That sounds like a insane price to me.
Why not buy a press instead and do it yourself?

P.T. Barnum said there is one born every minute.
Don't be that one, sound excessive to me.

Wholly Crap...We charge even less than FallAirFever paid and thats for a custom color and top quaility string not stock...installed with timing of cams done on Draw board or Hooter shooter, ATA, BH, poundage, draw, alignment all to manufactors specs...and cam to cam inspection...

Thats crazy...

When the time comes I'm thinking I will go see Neil and have the works done if I save anything after I pay for gas it's a bonus, I think if I don't I still will just on principle.

Default String.

Since you are in Ponoka maybe try Pipestone creek archery? Lots of guys say it's a great shop. Might be worth a call?

Although LOST sounds great, wish he was closer to Calgary.

There not to bad to build for. Looks scarier than they are. $300 is robbery imo. I haven't gotten the chance to do the change out on a monster, but I'm guessing there charging more because you have to pop the cams out to change the yokes, plus its a five piece set which in reality should only be $30 more.

Plus it is Trophy Book, while they can be a great shop they charge for everything and at a premium for what they say is great service. Don't get me wrong for the most part they are good but can not justify their pricing.

Yep, a little aggressive on the pricing. Ask them for at least a kiss before they screw you! Lol

I would definitely use Jim at pipestone in a heartbeat Jim's great and relatively close. I try to buy everything I need off Jim but unfortunately just does not have a bow press that can do my rig.

X2 ...Not so bad..with a good press...the AVS system requires as mentioned pulling the cams ..a "floating yoke" system...so installing the new strings takes a little longer than the average duel cam system...its the cam timing or alinement that takes a little more time as the bow should be timed at full draw on a draw borad or Hooter Shooter ...Good Quailty Strings like Worlds Best Strings as so close to specs its silly and makes our job a lot easier...
