Twin Valley/Clear Lake Fishing Conditions

Considering going back to these two lakes this weekend and I'm curious if any forum members have been lately and can report on the algae/weediness and how the fishing has been.

My experience at these lakes has been pretty terrible. I'm on the fence about going. Went late July and mid August. Fishing was slow. And fish were fairly small. 2nd time at Twin I was skunked.

Clear was incredibly weedy, water was around 20 celcius at the surface and there was a bad algae bloom. Twin was similar. I checked AHS and neither bloom has been lifted.

I know these kinds of posts are annoying but I'm not having any luck looking elsewhere.
