Hey guys I'm going out to cvr this weekend .....and I'm bord with the same old things.......so I'm going to take a chance on the white fish but have no ideas were to start. Any help would be great.
Been fishing there quite a few years only white fish I have seen are the occasional dead floater mid summer on hot summers. Very few of those even.
I don't target white fish but usually see them ice fishing on the camera or swimming in shallow bays off the boat when I fish other lakes with whitefish in them.
Can be good wall eye fishing this time of year though.
There are 3X more Cisco/Tullibee than Whitefish in that lake. Chances are, that's what you're catching.
Very true, however I did see white fish on my camera last winter. Could have knocked me over with a feather. Small school but they were definite white fish. Way down at the north end in about 8 FOW
I think it would be very very hard to target whites in CVR better off to go to Traverse or some other reservoir.
Well the whites this weekend have let me down ..........not a surprise been fishing there for 20 years and your right only see the floter on hot days ........I might try again befor the ice comes....was still a good weekend ended up with about 80 eyes and 10 pike at the end of it ......
