Question New bow hunter

Well currently in the works on convincing the wife to buy me a bow for my Bday. I have no intentions on hunting this year with it as my bday isnt till oct. But now I got the bug in her head I need one
Are there any tips and tricks and all that kind of thing??? I do plan on setting up a bag or block in my yard, I think I can get about 30-40yrd range to practice.
As a rifle hunter I know shot placement is key, But with bow im assuming one has to be quite a bit more accurate. Does your arrow bust a rib going in usually or is it deflected a bit? Would you use different cutting widths for deer vs elk? My thinking behind that is deer are smaller so you would want a smaller width to have a better chance of going through the ribs. Does anyone have a photo they can pm me of the inside of the ribcage after the kill?? What type of camo/fabric are you guys using to minimize noise?? I have many more questions but ill hold off for now till I get more info.
