Default Bow Sight

Firstly I will admit that I haven't had the time to thoroughly go through the requirements of each competition class. So with that in mind I ask the following:

Does having a fixed 3 pin vs fixed 5 pin Sight affect what 3D/Target class you are able to compete in?

Yes and no

Most shoots max yardage is 50 yards. So most guys have 20-30-40-50-60 and 5 pin sights. Any single pin movable (every shot you adjust) puts you in open class.

If you have a fast bow 25-35-45 is doable.

Default Perfect!

Thanks! That is what I was looking for. I was leaning towards a 5 pin fixed and just wanted to make sure it wouldn't force me into an open class if I wasn't intending to participate in that class.

Appreciate the info.
