regardless if that walleye is 12lb or 20, that's a true trophy fish! thats what this forum's all about. It's crazy how they've stocked it with so many walleye, but you can't keep any.....
Anyway, congratulations on a lifetime fish

Besides the size of these fish being suspicious (still nice fish) there is another thing worth mentioning here. Other threads on here talk about proper handling of fish to make sure we all do our part to reduce fish mortality. Weighing every fish that comes to your boat is not good fish handling for fish being released. And particularily weighing them twice with two scales. Maybe for the "potential record book" walleye, i could see it, but not every fish. My two cents.
Still sounds like a great trip and some nice fish.

We wouldn't question it if you never (exaggerated) the weight of every fish you caught.

I wasnt trying to ruin a picture poster. Thought the pictures were great. I do believe the 18lb walleye is suspicious, but i was trying to educate some young fisherman on proper fish handling to reduce fish mortality. He says he wants the lake conserved, so he released the "18lb'er" withouth a picture because it was bleeding. Well, i'm sorry, but maybe he should not have stuck two different scales through it's gills to weigh it. And then tell us there was no time to get a picture because it was bleeding????? Had time to weigh it twice.

GEEZ some of you guys sure know how to show some class around here, maybe he did catch a 18 lb walleye, I am sure there are 20 lbers in that lake, it definitely has the elements to produce such fish..... now leave the kid alone and show some manners!! Kudos to him and his uncle for a great fishing trip and memory and thanks for the pics, nice fish.

Absolutely!! Back in the heyday of Calling Lake, I witnessed with my own eyes a 38 inch x 15 lb + walleye caught in 5 FOW on the last day of fishing by a gal that was no taller than 5 feet tall, took her a long time to land that fish, I do have a pic laying around somewhere of that fish, was amazing to see that.
