I have been using Nikon's MONARCH 7 10x42's for 3 years now and love em. Excellent glass, clear edge to edge and great in low light conditions. I bought a pair of MONARCH 7 8x30's last year to use when waterfowl hunting, as well as scouting and they, are also very nice. I just bought another pair for my son to use. Great price and quality. Definitely check out this sites Sponsor's to see if they can save you some $.

Went shopping today... tried a few different pairs. Leupold, Nikon, Bushnell, and Vortex. Side by side comparisons all 10x50 binos, all in the price range that I wanted to spend. Looking at the same things under the same light I ended up walking out of the store with a pair of Vortex Diamondback. For me they just seemed to have a slightly brighter image. No matter what I think they will do just fine for my purpose.

I'm still using my garbage bottom low budget Leopold binoculars from the 1990's. Ha.
They were alot of money back then $150.
They have helped spot alot of game worth Harvesting, not the best of glass, but they still work good in low light, my next set will be Nikons.
Boy oh Boy are they crisp and clear

I wouldn’t think about buying new if my budget was $500. I’d look for at least a $1000 (new price ) glass used at a reduced price. Speaking from experience I wish I would have bought top of the line years ago it would have saved me a lot of money in the long run.

Good idea, I also was one that had probably 10 pairs of binoculars before I got a quality set that will last me the rest of my life.

Vortex Diamondbacks. Id rank mine 3rd after the Leupold BX4 Pro Guides, and Vortex Viper HD's. Thats trying pretty well every binocular available in Edmonton under 1000 bucks. Go try them you wont be disappointed.
Edit: I see you picked up some Diamondbacks. Can't be beat for the price.

Recently on 25 Aug 2018 Vortex Razor 15x50 on sale @ Cabellas for $650 ish as I recall. Great glass as my son has a pair and would not hesitate to by another but the "boss" had other ideas for this money.

Guys, for a limited budget, how are the Nikon Aculon models?
My bushnells are crap, always end up using one eye as they wont hold focus evenly. Also, are quite large. Want something smaller.

You get what you pay for. Save up a bit more and get these Pentax's. https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5043-2...-WP-Binoculars

No fault warranty, and the glass is pretty good for the price.

I have these as well in my work vehicle, for the times I see critters on the way to jobs... because I won't leave my Leica geovids in my vehicle around here! They are very good for the price point.
I also really like Pentax glass, moreso than the Vortex actually. Have a peek at Bioculars Canada online, good prices on pentax.
