Default Type of glue

Afternoon,
Just starting to get into making my own lures, and flies. Looks like something besides video games to do with the kids. We are going to make some ice fishing lures first. Figure some bead headed wire worms would be a nice basic design. What type of glue do you use when needed. Will crazy glue work? My only concern is the smell some glues give off. Not sure if it would make a difference, but I want to make lures with the best chances of success.
Thanks' in advance
Ken

Most of the fly materials supply shops now have non toxic head cement, I know loon makes one. I tie a bunch at a time and stick them all in a piece of foam, then I take them out to the garage and put the head cement on all of them at the same time, by the next morning they're all dry.

Smile Head cement

I think it is just clear nail polish, I used to use clear shellac because it seemed to work, it was cheap and the fellow who taught me used it.

Great hobby for you and the kids. Hope they catch lots.

I checked mine, I used "fly-tite fly tying cement", non toxic alcohol based. If your concerned about fumes, a water base polyurethane would work as well and a half pint would last, probably your life time. That can be picked up at any hardware store. Nail polish really stinks, as it has a high concentration of voc's to help it dry fast.

sally works but it dries out over time becoming thick. i like the loon product the best, just add a couple drops of water to thin it up. dries real nice and hard to.
