Default Glass bed??

I am kinda new to this whole gun thing and I have seen it mentioned that many have had their rifles barrels glass bedded?? What exactly does this mean??

Basically glass bedding a rifle involves removing some of the wood around your rifle's action / recoil lug / barrel channel and replacing it with a fiberglass compound. The fiberglass hardens and it gives a perfect fit between your rifle's action and stock, which can very often improve the accuracy.
