Default Cold Lake Border and regs

As not to hijack Critters Thread and to re-inform the ignorant

Just East of Garnet Beach the AB/SK border is at
12 U 0564681
UTM 6039395

I post this for Walleyca and FW officers whom apparently do not know where the border is.
Futhermore as per the PM I sent "eyes", AB regs page 17 CL Sport Fishing is quite Clear

Really? Who cares! Go fish and have fun. Hooks should be barbless from the factory anyway! All you need to do is attach a very small black rubber o-ring on your hook after you put your bait on. It's very simple! Bait stay's on better than having a barb as far as i'm concerned. This works very well for walleye fishing with leeches too!!!! Give it a shot and obey the rules. Very simple.

MAybe I'm missing the point here but on Cold Lake do borders really matter? Seeings as its interprovincial I thought there was no juristictional issues?

juristiction matters when it pertains to regulations. On Cold Lake and until next year there is SK regulations on SK side and AB regulations on AB side. So knowing exactly where the border is could be important if you are following for example SK regs on the SK side and you are using a barbed hook and/a gag. Now I know this statement will probably open another can of worms but I don't write the regulations.

I got a kick out of walleyecs's post concerning F&G not knowing where the border is.... Gee do you think maybe they have GPS nah I doubt it.. I fish Cold LAke often and the border is clearly marked on even the most basic GPS maps.

Only for length and limit. The use of barbs and gaffs on the Sask side are currently okay.
