Here's a question that has had me wondering..... Why are the lengths of pull of stocks on shotguns generally longer than those found on rifles? The factory stocks on my bolt action rifles tend to be about an inch shorter than on the shotguns. Does it have something to do with the fact that many modern rifles are used with a scope?
