Default Fun

My buddy and I went there for the first time about a month ago . We had to park out on the road and wade through 2 feet of freezing cold water at 7am to get there lol. They literally closed the road behind us so i would double check to make sure the road is open.
Anyways, my buddy through out just about ever fly he had in the box and didn't get a single bite. I caught quite a few brook trout on a variety of spoons, basic silver, 5 of diamonds etc. Got a couple of nice keepers. You can probably fish off the shore but I had the most luck in the middle of the lake on the boat Have fun.

I'm sitting at Beaver right now, first time here. Beautiful lake! Fishing is slow during the day, better in the evening. Caught a couple pike and a couple walleye, biggest was 55 cm, guessing 4lbs. Very thick and healthy looking. Fishing the steep shelves. Most shorelines are 25ft deep only 30ft from shore

Just got back. The fishing was very slow. Even the locals can't remember it being this bad. Normally live leaches would be good but not this summer. Talking of closing the one fish limit for next year. Only thing I would suggest is maybe the 5 of diamonds or frozen minnows.

If you are going this weekend you will be camping on the side of the hyway. They are having the 50th reunion of PowWow days and the campground at the north end was filling up as we packed up this morning.

Good luck
