Default ice thickness at sylvan lake

Hello all, I have converted a 12' terry trailer into a ice fishing trailer. Would anyone know the thickness of the ice currently at Sylvan and also would anyone have a chart for weight as to what thickness I need to bring a truck and trailer onto the ice. Hopefully I can launch the SS Minnow this weekend!

regards
Goose

I'm currently sitting on a solid 20" of ice in 12 foot water. Right around the Norglenwood area. So far no fish today!!!!

Most lakes in central Alberta currently have 2-3 inches of snow on top.

Also forgot to mention that those thicknesses are merely guidelines for new, clear, solid ice.

I was at Sylvan on Monday and measured the ice at 22-23". The top 2" were white ice, the other 20" was solid black ice. There was about 2 inches of snow over the ice, but it had drifted in places and on the downwind side of ice shacks it accumulated to a foot or more deep and could easily be a vehicle-trap.

Thanks to all who took the time to respond. I am going to pull my ice fishing trailer onto the ice then this weekend as 60 cm of ice can support 12000kgs of weight and my truck and trailer combined have a weight of 3600 kg's.
