Unhappy Thank you everyone for helping our Redbullets! Our number has been met!

I got a call this morning from someone we all know, our good friend Red Bullets.
Kenney has cut back Eugene's Disability Pension and he needs a 1 time hand.

I spent some time with Eugene on the phone this morning, and learned that he is trying to recover from Leukemia, has suffered a ruptered neck, gall bladder removal, etc, is unfortunately unable to work at a young 62, and has 3 days to gather $800 for rent.
Eugene has said that the future will not be an issue, but unexpected medication and costs has left him short, this one time in his life.

I told him that there are 20 great guys on the forum that I bet would gladly be able to help out with $40 each, or that there may be 40 great members that could give $20 each. In any case, time is of the essence I am afraid.

Anyone that has helped in these situations knows that nobody likes asking for help. It is far easier to give money than to receive or ask for it. Expontentially easier to donate.

I told Eugene that I would lend him the $800 because he was not looking for a donation, or I would freely give whatever is left of the $800 by This Friday, Feb 7 4:00 PM so he has his rent money.

I do not generally do these anymore, it has been years other than the Fire thread, I hate asking but am always willing to help. Eugene called me asking for advice, and I thought of you.

Anyone that wants to help, is willing to help please reply here or PM me if you wish to remain anonymous and I will give you Eugene's etransfer information.

I will start it off with $20.

To be honest, I would LOVE to see 40 people donate $20 each.

Thank you for your time.

Why don’t you just post the transfer details here? All it takes is a phone number...

Because I did not want to post his real name, phone number and emaill address on an open forum.

I would much rather do it that way too, because of the 10 in 30 mins but trying to protect his personal information a little.

Thanks for spearheading this Ken. I would have hated finding out that I could have helped, but was never informed. For those that don’t know him, he is a truly selfless member here. I’ll stop in to see him in person.

Can't send EMT to a landline as they don't accept SMS texting in Alberta, or most other places. Cell phone at min and you usually have to register the [phone number with your bank.

I would not post my personal details on here so PM will eventually get the job done. If guys PM you their cell phone numbers you can text them back the EMT info and there is no limit on those.
